Important Information Regarding The Application Process

   

Thank you for considering Doña Ana County as a potential employer.  The information below is provided to assist you in successfully navigating the application process. 

 

The first step is to complete an employment application form.  Once you have completed the application form, the system will not require you to fill it out again when applying for other opportunities.  However, the date accompanying the signature on the bottom of the application must be within six months of the date of the job closing for the application to be considered for the position. Please ensure that the information on your application is up to date each time you apply for a different position.  Only the information provided on this application is evaluated when determining compensation.  It is important that you ensure your application reflects the correct and current information for your work experience, education, personal information, etc. 

 

If you need to edit/update any information on your Employment Application after you apply for a position, you can do so by logging back into your account and accessing the application on your dashboard.  Your Employment Application is located under iForm(s) to Complete.  Ensure that you have electronically re-signed the application each time you want to submit a completed application for a position.   

 

After you apply for a position with Doña Ana County, there is a minimum qualification screening based on the education and experience requirements of the position. For applicants who successfully pass the initial qualifications screening, the county’s HR staff will then review and verify the applicant’s relevant experience, education and supplemental question responses. 


Applicants cannot proceed in the process if:

 

 

HR department staff then forward the applications of candidates who meet the minimum qualifications to the hiring department.  The hiring department will select applicants for interviews and proceed with the selection process.   Due to the high level of interest in some of our positions, not all eligible applicants will be interviewed.

 

 

 

Applying with Doña Ana County

 

iCIMS is the applicant tracking system used by Doña Ana County.   When applying, you will need to create a login and password for this system. Then follow the system instructions on ways to populate your application information. You can enter the information manually or use your Facebook, LinkedIn, or Google profiles or your resume to populate the fields on the application form.

 *Incentive pay: $10,000 - No more than 30 days prior to successful completion of their one-year probation period, the employee’s immediate supervisor will submit a memorandum stating the employee is on track to successfully complete the probationary period and is eligible for the $10,000 lump sum subject to applicable taxes and other required deductions.   Eligibility for Incentive Pay The following guidelines will apply to candidates that are hired after   September 7, 2022 through June 30, 2023. - Applicants are required to have a New Mexico certification number prior to receiving incentive - Out of state applicants and applicants with expired NM certification will have to pay for their own Cert by waiver and schedule the event themselves.
